United States of America is the most powerful super power. However politics is controlled and politicians are made and unmade by Jews who constitute only 2.4 percent of the total US population. The situation is such that most US politicians including US presidents should first pledge their loyalty to Jewish lobbies to be in politics.
Once in power they use tax payers money to support Israel and its wars which virtually destroyed many Muslim countries and killed millions of Muslims especially in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya and now Gaza
In the ongoing genocide of Palestinians and the destruction of in Gaza since 8 October 2023 , Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, described as ‘Mr Jewish Terrorism‘ in the editorial of Israeli newspaper Haaretz, who killed around 40,000 Palestinians ,some reports put the figure at 186,000,two third of them women and children and made Gaza unliveable . Added to these in one of most cruel and inhuman acts Palestinians were deprived of water, food, medicine, electricity and almost everything needed for any living being to survive .
These crimes were committed by Netanyahu with US supplied weapons. The top world court , International Court of Justice, already declared Netanyahu a war criminal and about to issue an arrest warrant.
How do we even catalogue these events? The mass graves, the bodies still buried under the rubble, the capture and torture of doctors, medics and nurses; the targeted assassination of academics and poets, not to mention engineers, journalists, aid workers, ambulance drivers, municipal employees, police, those looking for food or an internet connection, or just children playing?
And all this perpetrated by Israel, largely paid for by US taxpayers, with still no possibility of declaring “victory” over Hamas freedom fighters fighting out of tunnels without an air force, navy or mechanised units.
Despite all these crime records the US Congress invited war criminal Netanyahu to address its joint session on Wednesday July 24 . A new coalition of advocacy groups urged U.S. lawmakers to skip Netanyahu’s speech in Washington.
Senator Bernie Sanders said Netanyahu should not be welcomed into the United States Congress. On the contrary, his policies in Gaza and the West Bank and his refusal to support a two-state solution should be roundly condemned. In my view, his right-wing, extremist government should not receive another nickel of U.S. taxpayer support to continue the inhumane destruction of Gaza
Amidst fierce protests in Washington and other cities with slogans such as “Netanyahu war criminal should be apprehended as soon as he steps onto US soil”. Netanyahu addressed the Congress shamelessly applauded by congressmen
“We’re against Netanyahu’s arrival. For us, the main call right now is to stop the genocide but the long-term is to dismantle the apartheid system and to find a statewide solution that ensures equal rights, freedom, and safety for all people between the river and the sea,” Ruslana, an organiser with Shoresh, a US-based group of Israelis that describes itself as anti-Zionist.
As pro-Palestinian groups protested against Netanyahu’s address of Congress some Jewish- and Israeli-American organisations, including those groups who are ardent supporters of Israel, refused to give an audience to Netanyahu.
Protesters demanding the U.S. stop military aid to Israel hoisted Palestinian flags and burnt American ones outside Washington’s Union Station in demonstrations . Less than a mile away, police used pepper spray on some of the thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters who gathered outside the U.S. Capitol while Netanyahu spoke to Congress.
Some 400 Jewish activists, including over a dozen rabbis, who demanded an immediate U.S. weapons embargo on Israel were arrested. “It is absolutely shameful that congressional leadership has invited a war criminal, who is currently leading a genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, to address a joint session of Congress,” says Beth Miller, political director of Jewish Voice for Peace Action.
Lawmakers have rolled out a “blood-soaked red carpet to a war criminal” by inviting Benjamin Netanyahu, adds Palestinian American organizer Linda Sarsour, co-founder of the Muslim advocacy group MPower Action.
“ It is utterly disgraceful that leaders from both parties have invited him to address Congress,” said US Congress woman Rashida Tlaib who told that “Netanyahu should be arrested and sent to the International Criminal Court. , ”
Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi slammed Netanyahu’s speech, calling it “by far the worst presentation of any foreign dignitary invited and honoured .
The head of the Palestinian Mission to the UK Husam Zomlot described it a “disgraceful day” for the US’s role in world peace and global security. It is “very unfortunate” that US lawmakers applauded Netanyahu “while his forces bombing and killing Palestinian in Gaza.
The irony is US, the world’s most powerful military power, blindly supporting Israel, the artificial entity planted by western imperialism in the heart of Middle East , is jointly slaughtering unarmed and innocent Palestinians while the world, specially influential Arab countries supporting the Israeli genocide by refusing to help Palestinians.
The tragedy is that it was on this very same w US and Israel that the Arab dictators depend for their survival. In the aftermath of the collapse of Ottoman Empire after World War 11 Britain and France took control over Middle East, divided into different states and installed corrupt dictators and introduced the so called royal families to serve their interests.
This system serving US and European masters while people suffer in abject poverty and illiteracy continues to date even after a century. Unless this shameful situation changes and people establish their rules and have a say in their own affairs Middle East will continue to bleed to the benefit of US-Europe and Israel.
